About the Role

Are you passionate about community engagement and public relations? Join our team as a Community & Public Relations intern and contribute to our mission of wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in communications, outreach, and relationship-building within a nonprofit organization. Responsibilities:

Assist in developing and implementing community engagement strategies to raise awareness about our conservation initiatives.
Draft press releases, blog posts, and social media content to share updates and success stories with our stakeholders.
Monitor media coverage and compile press clippings for reporting purposes.
Support event planning and coordination for outreach activities and fundraising events.
Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms.
Research and identify potential partnership opportunities with other organizations and influencers.
Contribute to the development of promotional materials such as flyers, newsletters, and presentations.

Requirements

  • Requirements:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Interest in conservation, wildlife protection, or environmental sustainability.

    • Enthusiastic about engaging with diverse communities and stakeholders.

    • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.

    • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.


    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for creating visual content.

    • Previous involvement in community outreach, event planning, or public relations.

    • Knowledge of public relations principles and best practices.

    • Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content ideas.

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
