Great Falls, Virginia — This summer from July 11-15, the Kashmir World Foundation (KwF) and the Foxcroft School will partner to host the first Teachers Take Flight drone-building workshop exclusively for teachers and professors. The workshop will take place at the Foxcroft School in Middleburg, Virginia. KwF’s DaVinci Challenge is a project of Kashmir Robotics, KwF’s technology division, created as a means of educating people on building and customizing drones in an interactive setting.
Participants in the Teachers Take Flight workshop will learn to design, build, customize, and operate drones, use 3D printing and hear from a variety of knowledgeable guest speakers. The workshop will equip teachers and professors with technical know-how in a creative environment. As young people experiment with emerging technologies, it is important that educators keep pace. The Teachers Take Flight workshop will enable participating teachers and professors to engage students in a new way and introduce exciting technologies and approaches to learning.
Registration is open and lasts until July 1. Registration is limited to 12 educators. To register or for more information please visit www.kashmirworldfoundation.org.
