WASHINGTON, D.C. – January 31, 2025 – Kashmir World Foundation (KwF) proudly announces that Executive Director Princess Aliyah Pandolfi has been named a finalist in the Non-profit & Academia category of the 26th Annual Women in Technology (WIT) Leadership Awards. This prestigious recognition celebrates outstanding women leaders who are driving innovation and making a significant impact in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
As the visionary leader behind KwF’s groundbreaking conservation and technology initiatives, Princess Aliyah Pandolfi has spearheaded projects that leverage artificial intelligence, robotics, and bioacoustics to protect endangered wildlife and their ecosystems. Most notably, she leads the Bioacoustics for Sentinel Species Project, a pioneering effort leveraging AI-powered bioacoustics technology to develop the Universal Translator for Sentinel Species (UTSS)—a revolutionary system designed to decode messages encoded in the languages of animals. These communications could hold the key to understanding and preserving entire ecosystems, offering unprecedented insights into environmental health and wildlife behavior. Princess Aliyah’s leadership has propelled KwF’s mission to the forefront of global conservation and counter-poaching efforts, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers, engineers, and conservationists.
The WIT Leadership Awards, hosted by Women in Technology, highlight exceptional women across government, corporate, entrepreneurial, and nonprofit sectors who demonstrate excellence and leadership in their respective fields. The 2025 awards ceremony will take place on May 16, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Virginia, where winners will be announced.
"I am honored to be recognized among such an inspiring group of women who are shaping the future of technology and innovation," said Aliyah Pandolfi. "This acknowledgment is not just a personal achievement but a testament to the incredible work being done at KwF to harness technology for conservation and global impact."
KwF extends its congratulations to all finalists and looks forward to celebrating Princess Aliyah Pandolfi’s achievements at the awards ceremony. For more information about the WIT Leadership Awards, visit Women in Technology, or follow on X: @WITWomen, #WITLA2025.
